move out of my parents' house and move into an apartment or house with my husband

Well, we’re finally moved in. :) Just have to finish unpacking everything. It’s so nice to finally have our own house!

We closed on the house yesterday! :D Now we can start moving in. YAY!

Well, our offer on the house was accepted! The bank was trying to hassle us about de-winterizing the house – they wanted us to pay $300 to de-winterize & re-winterize it.. Even thoough it stated in their paperwork that it was their responsibility. Also, the gas was shut off the day before the inspection, which we didn’t find out about until the day of the inspection.. So, the listing agent wanted to hassle us (again) about turning the gas back on – wanting us to pay a $300-something bill. We got all that taken care of, and the inspection has been completed. No major issues. :) We close on the house the end of this month!

We decided Friday morning to put an offer on the house. We were told that another offer had been made. This house is bank-owned, so it’s closed on the weekends. If we had waited any longer to put in the offer, we probably wouldn’t have had a chance at getting the house. Sooo I’m REALLY hoping that things work out for us. But I know that if it’s meant to be, then we’ll get the house.

well, my husband and I have been looking at tons of houses lately. We viewed around 15 houses over the weekend. There were a few that we liked. Viewed one for a second time on Sunday (it was dark out by the time we saw the house on Saturday, so we couldn’t see the backyard). We really like this house. It needs some work – mainly remodeling. Nothing that needs to be done right away. I’m really hoping that this is the right house for us! It’s really exciting :)

I plan on getting a summer job so I can save some money. I finish nursing school in May of 2008, hopefully after that I can get a good-paying job as a nurse so my husband and i can buy our own house. We really can’t afford to move out now with what he’s making. :/
