Work on my secret project

We finally made some more progress. It followed much of the same format as my last entry. It was a day project that took over an entire three-day weekend. Alot of the project time was spent being uh…not sober and/or sleeping. There was also quite a bit of ass-shaking, music-swapping, and endless debate over the mysteries of Lost (none of which is relevant to the project but it was fun!).
Now the real work begins…

Team Chinese Fire Drill kicked ass on the super secret project this weekend. Now I’m using the term “kicked ass” in a loose sort of way.

This was the plan:
1. Gather supplies
2. Clean / Get Ready
3. Do secret stuff
Total Time = 1 hour

This was the reality:
1. Talk about it.
2. Get stoned.
3. Watch some TV.
4. Decide to have an adventure that ended up lasting two days (40 hours without sleep).
5. Awake on couch confused and hungry.
6. Walk to Blueberry Hill and eat pancakes in honor of National Pancake day.
7. Get super-excited that it is raining (a rarity in this here desert) and celebrate by getting stoned.
8. Team Chinese Fire Drill then passes out for a four-hour nap. Yes, the whole team.
9. Wake up. Drink Red Bull. Do the secret stuff.
Total time= 3 days.

Teaming up with your best friends may not always end up being the most effective or productive means of getting something done. But it always makes for a better memory.

I’m doing super secret project stuff right now. You have no idea what it is. You really wanna know, dontcha? Well, I’m not telling.
I love this project.

The first roadblock is almost done. In fact, I am in the office at 11:00am on a beautiful Sunday trying to get some things done so that I can kick that roadblock’s ass tonight. I tried to tackle it last night but beer got in the way.
Yep, it was totally the beer’s fault.
Don’t you hate it when inanimate objects get in the way of your plans? Dang them!

This project is a huge undertaking which doesn’t scare me. What does scare me is that this is a team project. The Polish Brothers are intimately invovled and this project cannot be done without them. I love and trust these boys deeply. However, I realize that one of them is kinda….flaky and got a big mouth (Sorry Chris!).
I was one of those kids in school who would groan at the idea of group projects cause I knew that some jackass wouldn’t pull his weight. Apparently, some things don’t change as you get older. However, I am gonna go full steam ahead because this has the potential to be one of the best ideas we have ever collectively had….and we have some stellar ideas.
Alright, go Team Chinese Fire Drill!
