Challenge  — 5 months ago

I live a good life. I chose my career based on what I thought would make me happiest. I chose wisely and I get paid to do something that I am passionate about. That passion inspires me to constantly learn and develop as a designer which is awesome except that it has taken over my life. Most of the stimulus I take in is design related and as a result, my work is becoming self-referential and a little shallow since I am fishing for inspiration in a pond instead of an ocean. I am not interested in producing malnourished work and frankly, I have been aching for a yummy book that I can’t put down. Cramming 50 books into a year is going to be tough but deciding which books I’m going to read is going to be tougher.
