It's not the same.

On face, this seems like a rather silly goal to have for someone that lives in the Bay Area. I was raised in the South Bay, and have remained no more than an hour away from San Francisco my entire life.
With that said, it’s just not the same. Don’t get me wrong: I love the place, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. But it’s one thing to live in a relatively quiet suburban neighborhood, and quite another to reside in the heart of the city.
I originally wanted to spend a few years in New York, but to be frank, my heart is here in the west. Hopefully I’ll be able to save up enough to make this goal a reality.
