The movers had the job DONE in under 4 hours (causing my friend to say “you make having less stuff seem really appealing!), and we unpacked every box within another three.

Best moving tip ever: set up and make your bed FIRST, so it will be ready for you to fall into at the end of the day.

Actually, I might BE packed. But there are always those million little things you forgot to get into a box.

The furniture did not sell, I’ll get settled and list it again. If it doesn’t sell by the time the new stuff comes, I’ll donate it to charity.

Lowered the price on the bedroom furniture by about a third… Hate to do it, but I got no inquiries at the higher price, and I’m getting a lot now, so hopefully it will sell this week.

I still need to list the dining table.

It’s all pretty overwhelming, but I’m just doing one thing at a time.

Got up early this morning and did a drop-off. Making progress!

I love it, and it’s hard to let it go, but I want to be comfortable & happy in my new place, and it just. Won’t. Fit.

I paid my final month’s rent at the current place today, and tendered written notice.

It’s getting exciting!

I signed the lease this morning.

Landlady emailed me this morning and asked me to come sign the lease Monday.

Moving in three weeks!

I dropped off the rental application, booked the movers, and told my roommate.

This ball is definitely rolling!

As soon as I gave up, a place came through. And I feel good about it.

Moving Day is 10/17.
