Another Birthday

This time, it was my favorite ex-boyfriend, whom I do care deeply about.

I left him a voice mail, just after midnight…

He called today and thanked me for it.

Nurturing accomplished!

Houseguests

My BFF and her BF (ha!) are vacationing in my city, and are staying at my house for one night.

I took the time to make up a beautiful bed for them, and to make sure they have what they need where they can find it easily.

It makes such a difference to feel welcome in someone’s home, doesn’t it?

Happy Birthday

I am terrible at remembering birthdays, but I did remember (just in time!) to send an e-card to a friend whose birthday is tomorrow.

Mine was in December, and I can’t tell you how much it meant to me to get all those silly e-cards, and phone calls… every contact counts!

Okay!

What I am doing is, whenever I think about it, I am sending an e-mail to the people I care deeply about. Mostly, I tell them what’s happening in my life, and I make sure to ask about theirs, and also to offer a few words of support and encouragement… tell them why I’m proud of them, or what I like about them.

I can do a lot more toward this goal, I’m sure, but I think this is a decent beginning.

Hmmm....
