Still need to make it to the Buddhist group here Had a birthday and party last couple of weeks). Am going this week.
It’s been a little hard having my teacher (in Portland) and meditation “family” so far away, although many of us are far away (Belgium, Hawaii, NC, Chicago).
I’m going to make an effort to go the buddhist get together this week. No matter how tired I feel. Then maybe next week, the whole family can go.
OK, you all have to forgive my flybaby over-exuberance. But I’m ever so slowly learning how to take care of myself, and be nice to myself. Instead of getting down, I can do what I can do, “small steps”, so I pick up for 5 or 15 minutes. And as long as I don’t try to over-do it, then I can keep slowly adding to my routines. WHat a blessing, http://www.FLYlady.net is teaching me compassion, the first step no less, how to have it for myself.
I didn’t do so well with my other goals, and it even got me down, but I managed not to get grumpy at my kids or dog or husband. ALl I need is a little compassion for myself! I’ll do better tomorrow.
