volunteer for habitat for humanity

I volunteered for Habitat when I lived in Toronto, but haven’t gotten involved yet here in Vancouver.

I first wanted to volunteer with them because I never really had a home to call my own when I was a kid and the opportunity to help deserving families have the security and pride that come with a place to call their own is too important for me to pass up.

Next steps will be to find out when the next volunteer orientation meetings are, see if any friends or co-workers might be interested and then go for the orientation. After that, pick some days to go help build a community – literally.
