DID IT. I’m 6-7 lbs lower than my original goal weight. I hit this mark about 2 months ago. I could still lose more and be quite healthy (I’m well within a healthy bmi) so I’m going to aim for 5 more lbs.

did my bi-weekly weigh in just now… not only did i not lose anything. i actually i gained a pound.
what the hell? i’m so mad. i just went of my diet a couple of times, and skipped the gym a couple of days. the rest of the time i was completely sticking to to diet and going to the gym.
the two weeks before this, and i lost 4 lbs. now, nothing… i’m just going to keep on working at this and be even stricter. soooo frusterated, though.
So, another 2 weeks has passed, and that means it’s time for my bi-weekly weigh in… I didn’t feel like I really had lost any more weight, although the clothes are still loose. I was thinking that at least I probably hadn’t gained any of the first 5 lbs back, and hoping that I’d see 1-2 lbs difference on the scale…
But I just weighed myself, and I’ve lost another 4 lbs! I know that’s more than is generally recommended. But even though I’ve been excerising a lot and I guess I’ve been strict really with my diet (no junk, only healthy snacks, smaller portions, etc.), I never go hungry and I eat when I feel like it, so I don’t think this is doing me any harm. Hopefully I’m also gaining muscle too.
That’s 9 lbs total. 11 to go!
My first goal was to lose 5 lbs in a really healthy way. I was able to do that, so now I want to continue with the rest of my goal.
The next part of my goal is to lose another 10-15 lbs. The reason I’m keeping it flexible is that when I lose 10 lbs I’m not sure I’ll want to lose any more. I remember the last time I hit that weight. I really felt thin enough (almost too thin) so I decided to stop losing because I felt and looked good and I didn’t want to lose my curves and muscles and get gross-skinny. BUT a 20 lbs total loss has a certain attraction. That would get me to a weight that I haven’t had in about 8 or 10 yrs, which would be kind of cool.
Anyway, whatever I end up doing, it’s going to be healthy, and acheived gradually. I’ll decide how far I want to go with it later.
