technically not baking, but wtvr. i tried to recreate my drawing in pancake format. pretty fun, but it takes what seems like forever to get the outline to brown more.
baked goods on my mind currently:
hot pain au chocolat
light, airy angel food cake
scones – plain or any flavor
pumpkin cheesecake
w/ marshmallow-sour cream topping & gingersnap crust


i went ahead and made the filling the way i like it, but decided to change up the topping. through research i found a recipe for marshmallow-sour cream topping that was in a bon appetit article. i also saw the gingersnap crust along with and decided to use that. the topping was not as sweet as i would have liked, but it was almost fluffy like a marshmallow. very good!
lately i have been thinking about one thing:

although i will not be passing candy out this year i still think i would like to carve a pumpkin. i love scooping out the innards and baking the pumpkin seeds with cinnamon and other spices. i know that november usually reminds me of ‘pumpkin’ (pumpkin pie etc.), but i need to satisfy this craving soon!
i’m making pumpkin cheesecake tomorrow and hopefully i can convince my mother to do the same on thanksgiving day instead of pumpkin pie.
