What to do with my new Konica Minolta DiMage Z1? 4 years ago

I recently got this great digital SLR 3.2 MP camera with an amazing 10x optical and 4x digital zoom, but I still haven’t gotten around to taking a lot of pictures myself. My brother actually uses my new camera more than I do. I just don’t know when to take pictures or what to take pictures of. I have a nice big 512 MB SD card, so I have plenty of room to take lots of pictures and digital videos. I’m still very much a beginner in terms of digital photography (and photography in general).
