I got a membership to the YMCA and have started to attempt to run on the treadmill every other day.
So, the first day (Friday) I managed to run for 2 minutes and 5 seconds at 4.5 miles per hour. Sunday I rand 2 minutes and 20 seconds at the same speed. The goal is to increase by at least 10 seconds consistently every time I run. Slow, I know, but I figure that’s the best way. I’m doing other cardio as well. Running is just difficult for me.
Today would have been my running day, but I didn’t make it to the gym, so my next attempt will be Thursday and I’m shooting for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
If I can get endurance up over time, then I’ll eventually increase speed, and then I’ll attempt running outside. It’s a long process, but I used to love running and I’d like to be able to do it again.
