Not much of a wine drinker, maybe 1 bottle a month, but I’ve homebrewed almost every other alcoholic beverage on this planet. I’ve heard that the new extract kits are fairly respectable compared to fresh squeezed grapes. Lord knows I have all the equipment (very similar to the beer equipment), I just need some time and some grapes. Still, my favorite quote about booze making comes from the sake recipe from Fred Eckhardt, “[Sake brewing] is not simple. You want simple; make wine.”
