Actually I don’t say I’m fluent in English.
I make lots of mistakes and yet slow to speak.
But my friends kindly say I am and I want to set goals which have exact figures.
So, I decided to finish this.
Thanks to 43 Things, my English skill became better than before.
I don’t finish learning English of course.

Well, I set another goal for myself to be fluent in English.
There are many exams about English in this world.
TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS…OK, don’t waste our time.
In my country, Japan, has only one official exam of English.
It is called ‘通訳案内士試験.’
Sorry for Japanese…I don’t know how we can tell it in English.
Only English speaking Japanese people who pass the exam can work as official guide in Japan.
Strangely we don’t need to have any official qualification to work as interpreters and translaters in Japan. Even many people teach English without any qualification in private operated schools and that’s not illegal.
Don’t you think it’s crazy?
To make my skill and my name hard, I want to hold a certain qualification.
I don’t want to be seen as a person who don’t have enough ability in English but works as a professional.
My TOEIC score is 900 but I don’t think I’m worth it.
I can’t speak so fluently, tend to mistake in grammar a lot.
Vocabulary is not enough.
I myself think of my English is too childish.
There seriously is room to improve a lot.
So, I’ve figured myself to set a big goal.
Pass the ‘通訳案内士試験.’
I want to be confident.
And get a better working circumstance!
Needless to say, it’s said to be difficult to pass indeed.
It’s compared with the National Bar Examination.
Only one time a year, this exam is hold.
A preliminary exam is likely to be taken in August. At least this year was so.
I’m really into this now.
I don’t want to go out and have fun.
Just try what I can do.
Now we can study using PC.
It makes us learn easily and it’s cheap…mostly for free!
Using podcasts, free learning sites, getting texts using internet auctions, and, of course…
This brilliant 43 things!
Writing and reading is big factors in learning English.
Since I registerd here, I got a place to practice.
And kind people encourage me and tenderly tell me about my mistakes in English.
Thanks million folks!!!

Next monday
Seems Ms. Hilary Benn is visiting Osaka where I live in in Japan soon.
She is the minister of environment etc in the U.K.
My superior told me that why I don’t go to the meeting.
He said there will be a talk meeting with her in the citycentre next Monday.
People from NGOs, companies and some general public can join it in.
An invitation came to our foundation from the British embassy.
And…he offered me the seat with very light words.
Actually for our foundation, this is not that special opportunity at all.
But for me, for me…this is the first experience.
I have to learn a lot about British Climate Change issue in a week!!!

As my work...
I didn’t update this for 2 months.
It doesn’t mean I was lazy during the time of cause!
I changed my job…doing translation every day!
What do I translate from?
Well…...Tons of the one of United Nation’s organization’s documents!
It must be helpful to emprove my English.
If it’s not, oh, I don’t want to think about that!
Because their English is very, very, veeeeeeeeeeeeeery difficult!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I will participate a big conference of UN in December as a observer to get news, information and updates.
So, I have to learn and improve really quickly!

Yet I haven’t reached my goal.
I’m going to have next TOEIC exam in May.
Hoping over 900…

I did pre-test by myself today using a book and iPod.
In the listening part, I could answer 81 of 100 and the book said it meant I could get 475 there.
I hope it goes actually.
Last time I got 450.
But in fact I can’t say I got the score with confidence.
Much of the time I was puzzled and felt very chilly!!!!
That book was for previous TOEIC, not the present one.
I’m going to test myself tomorrow in reading part.
