spend more time with family

I cannot tell you how nice it has been living so much closer to my Grandma Mom. I moved to the area about 7-8 months ago and I literally live like 20 mins away. I think I have visited her at least once every week or once every other week. My mom and brother even came over to this side of FL for Thanksgiving which was nice. I really love my family… even though they can be a big pain in the ass. :) XOXO

Grandma Mom is what we call my grandmother… She is so sweet. Everytime I go down to West Palm Beach I make an effort to stop and see her. Recently I got to meet my Great Great Uncle…. my grandmothers Uncle! Can you believe it! He is like 93 and still has tons of spirit. I got to hook up his DVD/VCR on his gigantic flat screen… I am so jealous. Its been nice. As for my other family… some things have changed so things have not been so good. I am supposed to get together with my Mom, Grandma mom, her husband, cousin, and brother for my birthday…. It is my brothers birthay 6 days after mine so they are doing the gettogether, together.

I spent most of this weekend with my Mom. We did my favorite thing… baking! YAY! Even though there was a problem with me using the oven and everything we worked it out! It was really nice to spend some time with her and see her smile. I miss seeing her smile. Its nice to know she is happy and that it is because of me. I know she hates when I use the word Crazy but she is crazy and I love her for it! That is what makes her fun and unique and interesting! She is a great Mom and I was so glad to see her today and spend time with her this weekend! YAY MOM!

Ok so I am going to do two in a row because they were different events and I forgot to post them when they happened.

So with my Grandmother being in town I decided to have lunch with her this Thursday. That was a great bonding experience and we had a great time! I ended up sitting with her at Panera Bread just chatting for 3 hours! It was wonderful! I really got to know her and visa versa. So neat to spend time with family. Everyone really should mark this as a goal because you really do need your family. They will always be there for you as long as they are alive. :)

Ok so on Wednesday I decided to call my Grandmother who is in town seeing my Great Grandmother, her brother and sister-in-law, and my Great Great Aunt Letha. Ended up going over to my Great Grandmother’s house where they were all just hanging out. I stay for around 2 hours and had an amazing time with them! Now normally I would NEVER do something like this but I really wanted to see them. You never know how long someone has left, now mind you they are all over 70 and I am only 22. There was wisdom to be had and I had it! Wonderful and well worth it! Still not marking this one done though. :)
