photograph things from interesting angles

all you have to do is pay attention

this is the street my parents live on. this picture matches my mood when i took it.

here’s a picture i took of my son’s tracks in the snow. his footprints remind me to watch where i’m going. both literally and figuratively.

I love to take pictures of my kids. I like to take pictures in general, but I’ve noticed that when I am photographing them, I notice all kinds of details. Flowers they could pick or lean over to smell, leaves they could jump in, an opportunity to make a snow angel, or the brilliant colors in a rock they pick up. It is my goal to do this more often, even when I am not taking a photo…just when I’m taking a walk to check the mail, or stopped at a red light. I want to thank my kids for opening my eyes and my heart to all the beauty and interesting stuff out there. It’s there…you just have to look for it!
