See my kids accomplish everything they dream of

My son will be 5 this summer so we’re about to reach a milestone I’m not sure I’m ready for!! The first day of school! I am excited for him though…I think that he is going to be a terrific student! He’s already learned his colors, numbers, alphabet, and is learning to read a few small common words… but I am mostly excited to see the look on his face when he realizes the power of education.

i want them to remember times like this. times when we were out together as a family, having fun, just BEING in the moment. i believe that as long as they remember moments like these, they will have something to reach for as adults. they’ll remember the joy they felt in running in the snow, splashing in the puddles, jumping in the leaves, watching bugs crawl on the grass…and they’ll always strive to keep that joy within themselves, and learn to pass it along to others.

my son is three and he has the biggest heart. he cares so much about other people’s feelings. i would love to see him make it through life without letting other people take that out of him. it’s so hard (especially for a little boy) to grow up and show a bit of compassion and sensitivity without being negatively labeled. i want to see him accomplish his goals without losing himself. i want him to always be able to stand up for what he believes to be right and just.
my little girl is one. she’s so sweet. she’s a little fire cracker already. won’t take crap from anyone…including her big brother.she’s very helpful. not toddler ‘helpful’, but helpful! she’s really good at following directions and helping to clean up…and eager to do it. i hope she makes it without losing all that spark. girl’s are often told to ‘settle down’. i don’t want her to, i want her to know what she wants and continue to go after it!
