thoroughly clean the house and then keep it clean

I have had The Maids come every other week for about a year now. I have to clean house before they come so that THEY can clean. Four gals take a little over an hour. It costs $140 and I tip each of them $10.

We have four weiner dogs and a medium haired white cat. Three of the weiner dogs are long haired and one is a smooth. Neither Bob nor I is fastidious, but I know how we both feel when the house is immaculate.
I bought some organizing tubs so that I can put things in the garage – pet items, disposable party items, outdoor Xmas decorations, car wash items
I also bought three of those SPace Bags. I am tired of having huge comforters all over my closets and under the beds. Geez…writing this makes me think. Why should I pay $10 for a Space bag to put a comforter in it that I NEVER use. I could give it to the Humane Society.
My cleaning spree includes closets, garage, and the basement (which is finished)
