So it’s been a week since I’ve posted and weighed in. Unfortunately, the scale is not my friend right now. Last week I was 149.5 pounds. I have eaten healthy all week (minus pizza and a couple drinks on Saturday night…oops!) On Monday I did an hour of cardio, on Tuesday I did an hour of weight training and an hour of cardio (The dance class Zumba…AMAZING!! It’s like Latin dancing so it’s super fun but it really gets the heart rate up!), on Wednesday I did an hour of cardio, and today I did an hour of weight training and played in a softball game after work. I thought I did very well, but it seems that I actually gained weight this week! I am officially 151 pounds now. I’m hoping that I’m gaining muscle mass or something so I don’t feel as bad…but obviously I have to do something different. I must admit, I am VERY disappointed =(

and it shows! It’s been well over a year and a half since I’ve written. And almost 2 years since I last gave my weight (in July 2006, 132.5 lbs). Well, now I’m at 149.5 pounds…wow what happened Actually I know what happened. In the last year and a half, I split with my fiance only a few months before our planned (and payed for!) wedding, and it wrecked my world for a little while. I began eating WAY too much, then started the whole bulimia thing again to try to control it and I just spiraled out of control to the point that I was just plain unhealthy and lazy. But I’ve decided that enough is enough. I’m picking up the pieces and moving on and putting myself first for once. I started working out 2 weeks ago and eating healthier. Though I haven’t made any drastic lifestyle changes yet, I just want to get back into the habit of being conscious of what I am doing for exercise and eating. So today is my new starting point. I plan to continue working out at least 4 days a week for an hour, with both weight training and cardio. I plan to actually track my calorie intake (I’m scared to even know how much I eat now). Lastly, I plan to start being more active: I joined a softball team for the summer, I just signed up for dance classes at a local studio and I plan to get a gym membership so I can work out on the weekends (I use the gym at work now so that means no working out sat or sun). I’m keeping my fingers crossed and not setting my hopes too high. My goal is to be under 140 lbs (even if it’s 139.5!) by my friends wedding on June 28th. Heeeerrreeee we go again….

Unfortunately, I haven’t stuck to my eating plan, or exercise plan in over 2 weeks =( And I’m not talking just a little cheating here and there. I have completely fallen off the wagon! Wendy’s, Papa Ginos, cookouts, icecream, chocolate…I went crazy! Now I feel like crap, and I leave for my cruise Sunday…I NEED to stop this right now! I’ve gained 4 pounds…eww =(

Hmmm, weight is still dropping really fast. New meds and new diet (for medical reasons) is likely the cause. I’ve been warned that I may lose too much weight, that I might look sickly. It’s funny that my main goal has been to lose weight, and now that it will probably happen rapidly, and i’ll lose a lot of weight…I’m nervous. If this pace keeps up, I think I’m going to add more calories, or another meal sometime during the day

K guys, I’m sure you don’t wanna hear this question, so you can stop reading now. OK girls, how much weight do you usually gain between ovulation and menstration (bloating)? I’ve been eating well all week, yet I keep gaining just a little bit more each day. Does anyone keep track of their weight and can see peaks around that time of the month? I’ve gaining about 1.5lbs since sat, and I’m due to start this sat. Any insight on this would be great,

I had gone down to about 134lbs…but that didn’t last long. I’m back at 136 again. The past month or two have been a rollercoaster with this goal. At times I feel like I don’t want to count calories anymore, don’t want to keep trying so hard for nothing, so I eat things that aren’t so good, or skip a work out. Then there are days where I get so mad at myself because I’ve come so far, yet I can’t lose these last 6 pounds. I need to figure out a plan of action to lose these pounds, and just stick with it so that I can just maintain after. Maintaining at 136 is quite easy…yet I don’t know how hard it will be to maintain 130lbs since my body seems to like this weight so much. Ahhh I don’t know what to do!!

Back From Vacation...  — 2 years ago

The morning that I left for my 9 day vacation, I weighed 134.5 pounds. I returned last night, and weighed myself this morning (I always weigh myself in the morning). Drum roll please….135.5 pounds, I only gained 1 pound!!! I ate pizza and french fries and ice cream and chinese fast food etc etc. But for some reason, my body could handle it and I didn’t gain a bunch of weight. I don’t feel that great though. Eating like that again made me feel fat and sluggish…so back to healthy eating. And maybe this will boost my metabolism a little so I can continue losing!

I created a little graph of my weight loss From May 1 through today. I weighed myself almost every day so obviously there are peaks and valleys and variance…but I think it’s a good representation of my weight loss in the last two months. Slow and steady wins the race! =) Now, it’s time for a 9 day vacation…I expect another peak when I get back. I’m going to be sensible and eat as much fruit chicken and veggies as possible, but I’m still going to enjoy myself and eat the wonderful Maine food (lobster, pier fries, Lisa’s Pizza!! I can’t help it!!) My goal for this vacation: Only gain back 3 pounds at most! haha I know, I shouldn’t want to gain anything back, but it’s inevitable. I’ll post as soon as return. I’ll miss all you 43things people while I’m gone!!!

After just two days since my last post saying that I’ve been sitting right around 136, and was somewhat content, I have gone down a pound to 135. Maybe the weight loss is kicking in again, I’m still eating well and exercising…now I have a little more ambition to try for these last 5 pounds!
