Another Debt Free Milestone

My debt originally consisted of a some smaller debts that amounted to over $1,000, credit cards and student loans. I’ve been chugalugging along. I’m so excited because I’m paying off the last of the smaller debts and can’t wait to get to the credit cards. I started off with no job or income channel. I am now current on all of my bills with a job that I love. I’m paying cash for school right now too. My credit cards will be paid off by the end of the year and all that will be left is student loans. I expect a nice increase in pay next year that will certainly get rid of those while I continue with my education. If I can do it, anyone can. It feels amazing! Just to give you some perspective, I started out with $1000,000. I still have a ways to go but am not fretting because things just keep on getting better every day.

Why I'm Getting Out of Debt

I was inspired to write this brief entry this morning. About six months ago, I started asking myself if this is it. I started getting out of debt about a year ago. I knew right out of college that this is what I had to do because it felt awful not being financially stable at such an important time in my life. I’ve been molested and harassed. What I mean to say is, I’ve healed a lot of my past and am a lot happier now. What I discovered six months ago, is that my happiness doesn’t have to stop there. I don’t have to stop evolving. Because I’ve decided to evolve even more, I am experiencing tremendous growth. There’s no time like the present. Being in debt is something that’s not in alignment with the greatness that’s presently occurring in my life or what’s happening for me in the future.

It's Working: I'm Getting Out of Debt!

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything on 43 things (I’m looking forward to more interaction on this site). I’ve been busy working my plan. I’ve increased my income and got a job I really love as a legal assistant. Everything is going extremely well. I started an internet radio show and am sharing some of my debt free insights there and on my blog. One thing that’s worked for me is writing everything down on paper. I spend my entire check on paper and divide it up accordingly. I just paid off another debt this week. It feels great. I have a ways to go but know I’ll get there. I’ll keep you posted. I’m still exploring ways to increase me income (it just keeps on getting better). Dave Ramsey said he’d also do a feature show about expanding your income, you can find him at http://www.daveramsey.com.
