Definitely worth doing for anyone serious about literature. Tips: start with some comedies, they’re easier to read than, say, the histories. Mandatory reading: Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, Tempest, Taming of the Shrew, Merchant of Venice, Romeo and Juliet, Antony and Cleopatra, Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear, Richard III, sonnets 18 and 130 (my personal favourite).
