Sura 53: Verses 42-62 al-Quran
53:42 That to thy Lord is the final Goal;
53:43 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears;
53:44 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life;
53:45 That He did create in pairs,- male and female,
53:46 From a seed when lodged (in its place);
53:47 That He hath promised a Second Creation;
53:48 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction;
53:49 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star);
53:50 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient ‘Ad (people),
53:51 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life.
53:52 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors,
53:53 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah).
53:54 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up.
53:55 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about?
53:56 This (Mohammed) is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old!
53:57 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh:
53:58 No (soul) but God can lay it bare.
53:59 Do ye then wonder at this recital
53:60 And will ye laugh and not weep,-
53:61 Wasting your time in vanities?
53:62 But fall ye down in prostration to God, and adore (Him)!

Tonight is the Night of Power, insh’ Allah. I want to remind myself to email and share the following music video to family and friends…. and try to get them to read along with the English subtitles. Have a great night.

Tropicana,
Haven’t heard from you but I hope you and your boyfriend managed to work out your issues. I think he would like the following website very much:

Good luck to you and hope to hear from you soon.
In Al-Qur’an, God says that the one who does one good deed brings at least 10 good deeds the like of it to the Day of Judgment.
So if I say, “God is great” it is as if I said God is great at least 10 times.
And if I think to myself “Only God is worthy of worship” it is as if I thought it ten times.
And if I have a thought to commit a lie and restrain myself from committing the act, it will be as if I restrained myself 10 times, I think.
And if I go on Hajj next year, it is as if I went on Hajj at least 10 times. And I go on Hajj the year after that, then 20 times. And if go on Hajj again 9 years later, well then, I will have brought at least 30 Hajj’s with me to the Judgment.
And if I fast one day in the name of God, then God willing, it will be as if I fasted 10 days.
And God knows best.
My best guess is that the Night of Power is either the 27th, 29th, 25th, 23rd, 21st, or perhaps 1st Night of Ramadan.
I need to be extra good throughout Ramadan, so that I can multiply my rewards and achieve extra rewards and forgiveness.
I need to find some good charities to contribute to for example.

The Message, Anthony Quinn…. youtube.com….. lead prayer in English… have family feed me
Is there a halal store in town?
Seek out the Night of Power this Ramadan with greater enthusiasm.
Send out an e-mail to friends and family a week before Ramadan asking me to join me in the fast.
Strengthen my prayer life.
Practice fasting a few days before Ramadan so you can get the hang of it and be prepared.
Plan activities for the Nights of Ramadan; particularly activities you can share with family. Perhaps renting Islamic videos from the library… or listening to prayer.
I could also try to memorize the 99 names of God.
I could say “Subhan Allah wa bi Hamdihi” 100 times a day.
The best dhikr is “La Ilaheh Ila Lah.” 3 other statement with great merit are “Al-Ham Du Li Lah” “Subhan Allah” and “Bismillaheh Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim.”
Remember, the remembrance of God is the greatest thing in life. Everything else is a distraction.
If I can’t make it to a mosque, perhaps I can congregate with Muslims in chat rooms.
