Go on another short term mission trip

I was all set to go to Rwanda, but I decided to drop out near the beginning of the process. It didn’t seem like God wanted me to go. My parents weren’t comfortable with the trip and the leaders, and to be honest, neither was I. I decided not to go, and instead to go ahead and spend the summer at home working. It’s hard, because I really wanted to go on a missions trip, and I especially wanted to go to Africa. I miss that place! I haven’t been there for eight years. I’m planning on applying for the Sierra Leone trip our school does next year. We’ll see about that then.

Thus far, I have gone on three short term mission trips, each for 1 week, each to Mexico. Once I helped build a house, and twice I worked in an orphanage for disabled children.

However, the most recent of those times was four years ago, and I’m itching to get on a plane and get away from America again. Sometime in the next three years, I want to go on another mission trip – longer than a week, hopefully, and to someplace other than Mexico.
