I took a bunch of pictures in the spring to make a photo Alice in Wonderland story. This was one of the atempts at a mirror picture. I’m the person in the mirror. The girl is my cousin. I really love how she looks like a doll and this picture is so spooky looking.

For some reason I still have this dress from when I was 7. The other dress is from now.

when I was in high school I wrote a poem about a mermaid that dreams of being human and is happy when she leaves a footprint in the sand. It’s one of my favorite poems I’ve ever written. Who you are and who you can be, I guess. Footprints are cool things too

you can hear me buy you can’t see me

my friend, who lives out of state most of the time, and I talk on our phones so much to each other, we’ve had converations about how this little piece of plastic puts us into each others’ ear. With a phone you can be there with another person in a way you never could be in other points of history. Especially cell phones. I can be right there with my friend when he’s ordering his coffee in California and I’m sitting in my bathtub in Massachusetts. Crazy to think about really, it’s all so everyday but amazing none the less.
When you talk on the phone with someone they get an impression of you “without seeing your face”, which is what gave me the idea for these pictures.
