Identify and Rid Myself of 43 Items of Überclutter

including:
empty boxes of all types, parts & pieces of games & toys that are no longer in our possession, junk mail, old makeup & lotion, expired sunscreen, clothing that is too large, too small, or totally out of style, odd wires or connectors to obsolete computer hardware, soy sauce packets from chinese takeout, and so on and son on….

I’m finally checking this off as done!

9 – crappy toys from various fast food establishments
10 – hospital foam used for wrapping furniture for transport
11 – a box of moldy paperbacks with no redeeming value
12 – games for which most of the pieces were missing
14 – costumes which no longer fit anyone
15 – contents of a junk drawer that had been tossed into a box (I did have my son sort through it for change – and he found 5 nail clippers (we were wondering where they had all gone!))
16 – software that actually had a REAL floppy disk
17 – boxes, boxes & more boxes
18 – dried up paint
19 – puzzles with missing pieces
20 – lovely art pieces made by some child from various recycled materials (yogurt cups, popsicle sticks, etc)
21 – broken laundry basket
22 – pens & markers which no longer write
23 – correction tape for a typewriter
24 – action figures for shows that haven’t aired in years (anyone remember Bucky O’Hare?)

toss 5 things this weekend

When you can’t reach the wick to light it without burning your hand, it is time to toss the jar candle.

I shall never torture my feet again!

This may seem heartless, but I have tossed all the Christmas “art” projects my kids made in preschool. I scanned a few of the more original ones for the memories.

for things I will never return – such as groceries.

Christmas is over and I’m not planning on shopping for any gifts in the near future.

I had a box with assorted broken ornaments to fix. Took a look and decided they weren’t really worth fixing. Into the trash they went.

I can’t believe how many empty boxes are just stacked in the garage. That was an easy one :D
