to back to school hours is killing me this week – I’ve been up too late and then have to get up way too early – need to get the bedtime back to a reasonable hour so I’m not cranky and drained at the end of the day

and if I don’t get something done first thing in the morning – before I leave for work, it probably won’t get done that evening. I’m just so exhausted. I knew a lack of exercise was probably the culprit, but instead of going and moving my body, I went to the library and took out a book. Typical me.
I selected “Outsmarting Female Fatigue” by Debra Waterhouse. Her premise is that if you aren’t dealing with a medical condition, your fatigue is probably telling you to make better choices in how you live everyday (duh). There are 8 natural energy sources: Food, Water, Fitness, Nature, Sleep, Intimacy, Joy & Balanced Stress.
I did the little quizzes for each section and found that I really need to work on Fitness, Intimacy (includes body image & time w/ friends – not just sex!), Balanced Stress, and time outdoors in nature. I’m not surprised. I had been working on eating better, drinking more water and my sleep has been fine since I gave up caffeine. I scored well in joy too!
There’s nothing really new or earth shattering here. I hope a new perspective might help me get out of this tired rut I’m in.
