learn to play the ukulele

I finally found the Uke training DVD that I got from my mom. I need to start popping that sucker in on a regular basis!

It’s easier to learn songs that you already know how to sing…Thusly, I figger Beatles are a great way to learn new uke songs!!!

and everybody should play an instrument. I love the ukulele, I love the sound and how cute it is, and how it makes all songs sound hilarious. My mom has been playing uke for a few years and actually bought one for me several years ago.

I was being really good about practicing for a while there, and I learned a bunch of chords. I got my strings changed (and saw how easy it actually is to do that) and then I practiced a lot and even learned a few songs (Amazing Grace, Clementine, Build me up Buttercup).

I’ve been neglecting it a little of late though, and the strings are getting loose. I think I need to tighten them and get back into practicing more. I also want to get back to the Ukulele meetup I went to once last year sometime. It was helpful, but I wanted to know more chords/ songs before I go back.
