I have been getting up this week! It’s a new month and so i can start fresh! My goal is not to miss a day. I have also added strength training 3 times a week. I did my first one on Monday and i am sore!! But i know it will help me get faster and stronger. I am so excited about the this month!!

So i typed this awsome update. It was long and sweet. But when i went to save it… Error!! Ugh ok so here it is short and sweet.

Been walking/jogging for a little over a month. I can see the results in everything i do!! From lil things like walking up 4 flights of stairs without being out of breathe to losing inches and toneing up. Oh and the big thing I lost 5 pounds! Love it!

Still gotta work on getting up in the morning. last week i did it 3 times. Had wonderful days everytime i did. loved it! however the weekend and sleeping in has messed up my cycle. So still needs works. But i enjoyed it greatly!

well i have slowed down since school started but i am still going for my goal. I am going to try my best to get up and do it before classes in the morning. If i can do that i can get better and faster. Plus i am sure i would be more awake in class and feel much better about myself.

So it shouldnt be to hard to get back to where i should be. My foot problem ended up being a pinched nerve so i just have to strech really well before i start. I will be back to my weekly goals in no time. :)

It would seen my plan is slipping, this week until wednesday i was doing great! However my plan of getting up at the break of dawn to run before school kinda back fired on me. Wednesday i had a huge headache from lack of sleep and skipped that day of running. Once again on Thursday i still wasnt up for it. Friday I did some strenght training and then only ran for 20 minutes. (this was the day my foot started givin me trouble) And today was the day i was going to get back on track (once again). But as i was getting to the right speed my right foot/leg began to feel like it was falling asleep. Yea! Falling asleep as i was jogging. It was to weird and odd to keep working so i stopped at a sad 15 minutes. Last week i was going for 55 minutes and 3.5mph. Now i dunno whats going on. I am going to have to get some answers about my foot/leg thing…

I didnt get to run yesterday. I’m kinda mad at myself. I have to be sure to run today. Hopefully when classes start up i can have a better daily schedule. I am trying to switch to morning runs. But i was never a morning person. lol. I am gonna try to change that.

My legs feel like jelly right now…

I’m thinking i should run in the morning cuz now i wont go to bed til 2am because i am so pumped up. Maybe if i do that i can do some strength-training in the evening a couple times a week. I will try it tomorrow… maybe. lol.

...please tell me this gets easier as you go.

Today was a really bad day. I was at the hospital with a close friend. Her dad was in a accident and didnt make it.:’-( I got home around 11:00pm and tried to run. I stopped 10 minutes away from my time goal. But I was happy just doin it somewhat. Helped me stop thinking about the day. Ugh what a terrible day…



New Program 3 years ago

I found a new program that is much better for my life style. It consist of jogging for a certain set time each week, gradually increasing time and speed. It does not focus on how many miles is done but rather on speed and endurance. Each week there is a set speed and time. Twice a week with two days between each there is a shorter time with higher speed. It is an 8 week program and I hope I will stick to it. But now instead of running outside I will be on the dusty treadmill in my basement, for two reasons; one Michigan weather will be getting much colder very soon and more important I have to be able to make sure I am going at the speed of the week. Treadmills are so much easier then pedometers.

I set up a calendar with all the times and speeds for each week. And when I complete it I put a sticker on that day. I know its 3rd grade-ish but my goal is to keep it up and not miss a day. I would feel bad if I had weeks worth of stickers in a row and then missed one. Lol. I am still a kid, but I enjoy it.

So I started it today. 30minutes at the rate of 3mph. I thought it would be easy but I got off the treadmill covered in sweat. Thank goodness for Ipods and cold showers. _
