This year I stopped studying Japanese after returning from a trip to Japan, when my teacher suddenly became too busy for lessons, which opened up the possibility of tackling another of the languages on my list. So started beginners’ Turkish evening classes in September 2005, and so far am enjoying it hugely – although not sure vowel harmony will ever become automatic.
