I did an alternative pushup, where your knees are on the floor, as I’m overweight. So I managed to do 17 “girlie” pushups.

I did an alternative pushup, where your knees are on the floor, as I’m overweight. So I managed to do 17 “girlie” pushups.
So this goal was formerly “Do 50 ‘man’ push ups”. I decided to change it based on a couple reasons:
1) I’m overweight, so until I lose some weight, how many pushups I can do (13) is quite limited. And those are girly pushups.
2) 50 is soooooo far away. If I get to 20 I’ll be happy.
What does everyone else here count as a pushup? Standard pushups or the bending at the knees pushups?
So I just did a little self-assessment. I can only do 16 girlie push-ups at the moment, so I have a ways to go on this one. Maybe if I do it every day though. Anyone out there who can do this? I need tips!
