I’m getting better at being straight with people. Yesterday I told someone I couldn’t hang out instead of beating around the bush. Today in class I’m going to tell the asshole I sit next to shut up or I’m going to have him moved.
Hazzah!

Last night, this stupid Mary Kay chick try to corner me into going to a Mary Kay class. I very politely told her that I did not want to without being rude OR making up excuses.
I was proud of myself, but I was also embarrassed. Oh well. At least I’m trying, right?
My newest goal in this category is to say that I don’t feel like going out/hanging out with someone when I don’t, rather than trying to think up an excuse.
Also, ending conversations when I have to go. I need to get better at that too.
Today a freshman was going on and on and on about how much she loved the movie Walk the Line. I personally didn’t like it- so I stated that very opinion. She wanted to know why, I told her it was very accurate but the way they filmed it was exactly like Ray. And she proceeded to go off on me. I just sat back and took it.
I should have said. “I don’t need a reason. That movie was just bad.”
