burn one of every national flag

Apart from the cost, I’m not sure I could justify the waste of materials and carbon release of doing this – but what I could do is get a big poster of flags of the world (I’m sure I’ve seen such a thing), take a video of it burning and put it on Youtube… or maybe cut out each one and burn it individually, so patriots everywhere can get their chance to be offended, regardless of their nationality.

There was talk of making it a crime in australia to burn an australian flag. how sick is that! – elevating an arbitrary symbol to almost the status of a living thing. disgusting.

yes, I know we’re tribal creatures, and we wouldn’t be fully human if we weren’t an “us” with an opposing “them”, but there must be something constructive we can be tribal about..
