buy a place in the country and have a furry menagerie

we have been living here a month now and it was all so worth it…even though moving all our stuff nearly killed me. Have just bought my first 2 pets, a couple of kunekune pigs and they are the most adorable things on the planet…

on boxing day we found out that we have got our house….best pressie ever…I knew it was going to happen as I believe in good luck coming in threes and on christmas eve we won $22 in lotto, on xmas day we narrowly avoided a speeding ticket..so it was the 3rd good bit of luck ….now the panic sets in as we have to get all the paper work done, clean up this place for selling and try to enjoy a bit of a holiday as well….

put an offer in last night and will hear back this morning

we might have found a place. despite the fact that I vowed not to look over the Christmas period we went to an open home yesterday and were pleasantly surprised.
Nearly 5 acres, 10 mins from town, with a pond, in our price range….getting it checked out today by a builder and then we will take it from there. Maybe its finally our turn?

the more we look the more frustrated I get…all the places we have looked at recently have been either on busy roads…no flat land..under pylons…am I fussy or what???
I find myself willing people to die, get divorced…run out of money…just so there are more properties on the market…

Been looking for a cute place in the country 9 months now. It’s getting depressing. I want chickens, pigs, a dog…an excuse to wear overalls and gumboots…
