starting the weaning

i am about to embark on weaning off the dreaded paxil. i have been on it for 7 years because some idiot did not believe me when i said i thought i had asthma. 7 years later i am diagnosed with asthma and stuck on this stupid drug. i have gained about 40 pounds in the past 5 years with 25 of them being in the last 9 months. grrr! does the weight come off when you stop the drug?
