I talked to the NP on Friday. Some of her advice was downright weird, like advising me not to exercise. But she wants me to research and possibly try this new diet. I bought the book the same day and started reading up on it. I talked to a few friends about it yesterday to see what they thought. My plan is to finish reading the book today and see if I want to try it.
I have lost 17.5 lbs since January 1, 2012. I am looking forward to losing the next 10 pounds to get to a milestone for me.
I found out that there are certain foods that might be of help to me. I have been diligently incorporating these foods into my diet this past week. I have been eating lots of broccoli, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, oatmeal and Greek yogurt. I didn’t get to the gym nearly enough this week but the healthier eating lifestyle has been going well so far.
I found a cool new website that tracks your calories, carbs, fats, sodium, and water intake. I am going to give it a try to see how it works. You can also track and log your exercise and work on weekly goals to reach your ideal weight.
I have been on program for 12 days and I have lost 2 pounds so far. I am not losing as much as I have in the past, but I am not giving up. It’s been hard at times to exercise with a sore back, but I am trying.
Starting October 24, 2011, I am back on program again. This new push towards my weight loss was re-ignited after hurting my back this past weekend. My back is better now but I am determined to stay on program, lose weight and exercise every day. I have not yet set a goal in terms of weight to lose but I am excited about getting back on track.
