I am trying to eat less meat, partly because I am sick of bland cheap meat and would rather eat smaller quantities of good quality meat, and partly to reduce the carbon footprint.
Steady as she goes for now – I am making things like curries and stews but with less meat and more vegetables (substitute chickpeas in the curry, more carrot and turnip in the stew). Also pasta dishes I am now using more vegetables, with cheese or poached eggs instead of meat. Trying to cut down gradually rather than suddenly cut it all out, or else I will just end up craving meat and going back to old habits.
