learn Visual Basic

This was a great feeling. I put it on blogger if anyone wants to see it. http://loco-puzzle.blogspot.com/. It’s pretty simple idea, but it took me hours to code it. It feels nice to have finally created something.

Not the same thing, but I was able to complete a flash card program in VBScript today. It took me several hours, and I had a really hard time working with VB arrays. They hurt. They are so rigid and featureless. I was eventually able to get it to do what I wanted and that was a great feeling.

I really want to learn visual basic so I can build some better apps than what i’ve been able to achieve with VBScript. I’m a network admin so I program a lot of little tools for work. It would be nice to create something professional looking and share it. I also do a bit of web work with some coworkers on the side and I think this could only help that too.

I also enrolled in a VB course that starts in Jan. Yay.
