I have to start drafting my letter to Tia Rebe, my boyfriend’s aunt who came to visit from Ecuador. She is a lovely person and I want to let her know.

I posted a couple weeks back about “My Spanish Coach” for Nintendo DS Lite and I just want to give you my feedback on it. It is awesome. I enjoy playing it. Unfortunately, I got a whole bunch of other games too, so I’ve been preoccupied with the other games, but this is definitely a great tool for learning Spanish.
Hopefully I can be fluent by the end of the year. Oh yeah.
boo… target didn’t have my game. i guess i’ll have to check another target!
on a sidenote, I’m understanding a lot of what is being said during dinner with my boyfriend and his parents. They speak English 90% of the time, but sometimes, they slip in conversations and I giggle at the right times. haha
As I was looking for the DS Lite game that I wanted to buy (My Word Coach), I came across “My Spanish Coach” and got real excited. My boyfriend told me he would buy it for me and then asked me if they had one for my language, but they don’t. =o(
Here is the description (just in case you’re addicted to your DS as much as I am):

You can even test your pronunciation using the built-in DS microphone. Travel with My Spanish Coach and use it as a complete reference book for travel and never be lost due to language issues. Eight touchpad mini games sharpen your mastery of the language at your own pace. Track your progress with charts showing your performance. Simple touch screen interface makes it perfect for players of all ages.
this past Saturday, my boyfriend and i were speaking spanish with each other. it was fun but a challenge. i still need to get those conjugations intact.
maybe i’ll run out and get a book! i’d love to speak it fluently by next year!
my boyfriend and his mom were speaking spanish to each other and i was just looking at them trying to understand what they were saying. then she turned to me and said, “do you speak spanish?” and i said, “un pocito (sp?)”
sometimes i’ll tell my boyfriend to speak to me in spanish so that i can start to understand and learn. i know you shouldn’t be embarrassed about how you say some words. you won’t learn if you don’t mess up!
i’m determined to learn. but i feel a little bad because i should learn my language first. eh, i can do both. besides, i speak more spanish than tagalog. that’s awful.
