Work? Ottawa? Anyone?

I never would have believed that it would be so difficult to find work in such a large city. It is.
Ottawa has a dry, picky job market which prefers hiring Canadian citizens over those who have immigrated to Canada. I’ve been out of work for over a year and the pressure is almost unbearable. I can’t handle being broke any longer.
Is it my age? Am I over-experienced? Why do 90% of these employers only accept applications over the Internet? It’s so impersonal and frustrating.
There has to be a job out there somewhere, but so far I’ve been unable to find it.
