declutter my life

I have made inroads into this. I have been to the tip many times just for 2 rooms. THere is so much more to get out and some more storage to buy (hello Ikea!) and then I can think about what I actually want the place to look and feel like and stop just fighting fires with the tidying up.

I am about to fill up a charity shop bag and take them lots of clothes that don’t fit me and some glasses from the kitchen (because I bought more, nicer ones – ahem). I really want things in my house that I love and not just other people’s cast offs and things my ex chose. This year is about me and I really want to be in control of my own environment.

OK, my son is 5 this year and I am a single mum (so no chance of new babies in the near future) so why am I still in possession of a travel cot? Who knows. I listed it on Freecycle last night and someone’s on their way over to collect it. Yay! Some cupboard space in my son’s bedroom!
