Get in 30 hours of cleaning/organizing above my norm before I move

I crossed the 30 hour mark on Thursday when my help came. I switched seasonal shoes and threw away 3 pair in the process. I put up laundry and gave away 2 shirts in the process. I picked up in the living room and kitchen, putting up all of the mail and paper I’ve laid down in the past week. Help & I went through my mail pouches on the wall and cleaned them all out. Now I have a place to put my mail again before I go through it. Doesn’t sound like much when I type it, but I got in my 3 hours.

Tonight, I cleaned out the “c’s” in my filing accordian box. I filled 2 mini garbage cans with things to throw away and things to recycle.

It’s nice having a house that’s clean enough not to be terribly uncomfortable when someone suggests they might come over. I don’t have to hide the inside if someone comes to the door. It just feels darn nice and was worth the financial investment to get it done sooner.

Help cleaned kitchen, bathrooms, vacuumed all.

I think this is about as good as it gets for me.

I cleaned for 30 minutes tonight knowing my help will be here tomorrow. One totally cannot tell I cleaned anything! :o I cleaned a bit in the kitchen, cleaned out the kitchen trash can, and picked up a few items in the living room.

Tomorrow, I will pick up the stuff I threw from my computer bag to the living room floor and clean off my back porch. I also plan to launder 3 loads of clothing. I’m an ambitious one don’t ya think ;).

Tuesday is living room day. I had an evening engagement so I didn’t put in all the time I’d think I would but I worked on it for 25 minutes. I also unloaded my dishwasher and washed the bathroom rugs so they’ll be dry on Thursday when the help comes. Maintaining cleanliness is really quite a challenge!

I spent over 2 hours cutting bushes, sweeping up the mess, etc. outside today. I also cleaned my kitchen. Getting so close to the 30.

Oh yeah. I’ve crossed the 2/3 mark. Yea!

My help worked the crap out of me today! We cleaned off my coffee table and kitchen table. I have a stack of mail that I have to go through but I was able to throw away a fair amount as well. Before the tables, I put up my laundry. She washed my dishes. I forgot to ask her to “clean the kitchen” and didn’t notice the floors until she left. After she left, I changed some light bulbs, wiped down the kitchen table, moved my table back to where it was before she moved it, and swept. I am soooooo tired. But I’m also so comfortable about people coming to my house next weekend. Yea for my help!
