A fresh start 2 weeks ago

I did 35 min on the treadmill at home. I felt great the moment I stepped on it.

Alternatives for exercising:
- home treadmill
- gym
- pool (I can choose from 2)

Given all these choices, I really think I can definitely start exercising again. And this time for good!

Btw, I’ll mark this goal as done if I manage to exercise for 21 days in a row – by then it will have become an habit.



A question for me to answer: 2 weeks ago

When am I going to swim again on a daily basis?

Possible answers:

1. never
2. when I have solved all my problems and have nothing else to do
3. after the December conference (but there will be more in the next months, so what then?)
4. starting tomorrow, never mind my overweight and all the shame I feel to let others see me like this, and never mind my research and all the assholes that do their best to ruin my life, I’m gonna do it every day no matter what.

Right now I’m choosing 2 (which will proably lead to 1), but what about being bold and brave and go for nr. 4?

LET IT BE NR. 4…It would be the right thing to do – deep down I know it.



Day 21 - time to start over 3 months ago

I didn’t do anything: it was a bad day, I over-reacted to some people who didn’t treat me right, and instead of just walking away or stand up for myself, I kept all inside.
That’s not good.
So I overate and was too full to go to the gym :(
I’ve gotta find new ways to cope with anger otherwise I’ll never make it.

Anyway…

This 3 week period is over. I did not exercise 5 days out of 21 (i.e.: I exercised 5-6 days per week). It’s not too bad, but it’s not good enough: I want exercising to become a routine, and do it 6 days a week.

Tomorrow I’ll start another 3-week trial period, and see how it goes: if I manage to exercise 18 days out of 21, I’ll mark this goal as done (and keep exercising, of course!)



Day 19 & 20 - done and done! 3 months ago

On day 19 I only did 40 push-ups.
On day 20 I swam 1.8 km.



Day 18 - done! 3 months ago

1.8 km.



Day 16&17 - rest 3 months ago

I wasn’t feeling very well, so I preferred to stay in.



Day 15 - done! 3 months ago

1.8 km.



Day 14 - done! 3 months ago

2.15km, I did the last 1000m pretty fast: well done me :)



Day 13 - done! 3 months ago

1.3 km swimming.



Day 12 - done! 3 months ago

1.5 km. Very fatigued, I did my best.
