be a flight attendant

I’ve been saying I was going to do this since I was, oh I dunno…5. Well, I graduate with an Elementary Education degree in the Spring…but I feel like I need something else right now. I want to travel SO badly. I know being a flight attendant isn’t glitz and glamor…i’m fully aware of the jerks that fly with airlines, and fortunately I am used to only getting 2.5 hours of sleep a night. Anyway, I have NO idea where to start ( I mean, I’ve got about a year until I could do it anyway), but I need a little guidance. Any help out there?? I would be much appreciative. Also, is there such a thing as part time work as a flight attendant? Meaning, when I do decide to start teaching, could I just be a flight attendant in the summer? Too much of a stretch? Okay I’ve rambled enough
