I've GOT to jump back on this! 2 years ago

We got engaged last November, and are having a long engagement. We haven’t set a date yet, but I’m thinking next April (a year from now). It’s going to be small (50ish people) because he’s from California and I’m from Maine, so our relatives are scattered, and we prefer smaller anyway. We’re thinking nice beach wedding, and in a few weeks we’ll be checking out our top pick for the location (Duke’s of Malibu)

This is going to be a very casual thing… We want it to be fun and relaxing. We were talking, and we realized that we don’t even want a best man, or maid of honor… do we really even need them? We want the ceremony to be very simple, and after researching it a little, all I can figure out that they do is that the best man holds the rings until needed, and the maid of honor holds the bouquet for the bride.
