After years of being a desk jockey with terrible (i.e. almost non-existent) exercise habits, I’ve started using an ancient upright exercise bike this week (since I have a bum knee and need something low-to-non impact). I’m not sure what the unit of measure is or whether it’s accurate, but it’s quite motivating if I call it “miles” and at least pretend it’s accurate. Heh.
The good part is that I’m doing something each day, and feeling the burn in muscles I haven’t used in quite some time… And my knee isn’t hurting any more than it usually does.
