A group of people who run one of the organisations I’m affiliated with were discussing what we would do in a perfect world considering a particular issue that had been plaguing us. I suggested we put our big suggestions on paper and start to accomplish as many as we can. We did that and so far some of the ideas are starting to bear fruit.
I realised that dreaming big is something I do for other people and definitely at work but never for myself. At both my jobs I have seen how many of my ideas have been implemented and produced meaningful change, even the ones that others had thought to be stupid or impractical.
Now I’ll have to go out and dream big for myself. I am worth the effort and I’m sure the big dreams for myself will pay off the way my big dreams for work seem to.
