Most people hate rush hour- but I honestly love it. Even if I’m driving and stuck in traffic, there’s something about seeing so many people and so many cars on the road, and it’s the time when everyone (including myself) is just getting done work. While most people might hate rush hour traffic, nobody would say that first hour after getting off work isn’t the best part of the day.
Meanwhile, as the cars are honking and crawling down the highway, thousands of people are pouring into the train station and running for the express home. Standing in one of Philly’s train stations at rush hour is an amazing experience. It’s the only time of day where Philly has a kind of New York City feel.
The sun sets, street lights come on, and the city’s tallest buildings turn on their decorative night lighting. It’s a noisy, chaotic, and beautiful time. The morning rush is exciting too, but there’s something about the feeling of finishing a busy day that makes the evening rush my favorite time of the day.
