i’m safely finished with this one now. i’m now at the point of training for my first half marathon. this goal is accomplished and the accomplishment is continuing.

last week i was in nicaragua working with our church in building relationships with streets kids in diriamba. i didn’t figure i would run during the week since i would be playing soccer all week. after 4 days i couldn’t handle it anymore and i had to run a few days. i guess this means it really is becoming a habit.
excercise is going great in the midst of the summer (and that’s a huge thing since the summer is the hardest time for me to excercise). i’ve been running by myself at least three times a week while i completel coolrunning.com’s “couch to 5k training program (i’m presently up to 2.5 miles non-stop. in addition to this i am running three days a week with my wife on her couch potatoe to 5k plan (she is doubling the weeks and on the first week right now). this means around 5 to 6 days of excercise.
i exercised six days at foxy’s gym with the addition of a few dogs walks. i’ve started off good again this week.
i spent 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer today and then did to sets on the abdominizer. what fun!
this past week i exercised at foxy’s gym for least twenty minutes on monday, tuesday, and thursday.
today (sunday) i used the elliptical trainer for 25 minutes and then walked montana (my dog) a mile and a half.
the last two years i have been a member of foxy’s gym and i have played racquetball twice a week for an hour and a half each day. during the summer i was gone about four weeks and therefore i stopped playing. i would have started back but hurricane katrina came and things changed around here. i let my membership lapse until today. i went by today and signed my new contract.
