I think of this, but thinking is not the same as living it. I have watercolours, lying in wait, perfect for the experience of being in the midst of this timeless place, in a riot of colour, a tumult of blooms and scents, poised with brush and energy. I cannot imagine capturing but a fragment of all the senses and history. It’s what I want today.
