We went to SOMA for their bar of milk chocolate, which I dipped in dark Mayan drinking chocolate- it may be naff to do that, but it’s a treat like no other.

Also had a few dark chocolate maltesers. Wish they were larger. Nothing like a malt ball of substance. Can you see I’m avoiding cheap laughs here?
Should it be- “Eat better chocolate”? I had some very good company over, and we each had squares of Pierre Herme, Hediard, Green & Black’s and Foucher dark chocolate. Then we rated them according to preference. I was so chuffed by the idea that I had to have another chocolate tasting straight away. (By the way, Pierre Herme’s nibby bar won.)
For the second tasting I couldn’t wait for an assemblage of friends, and it was a milk-chocolate tasting anyway- some people are put off by milk-chocolate; heaven knows why.
This time we had Valrhona, Hediard, SOMA, and Maison au Chocolat. Maison and SOMA were the best!
